Insights from a mother-daughter entrepreneurial journey.

In this episode of the Doing It Well podcast, Yiskah HuldahYahu engages with Daniy'El Yahu and her daughters, who share their inspiring journey in juggling multiple businesses alongside family life.

Building Businesses Together

Daniy'El, a mother of three, wears many hats: she's a juggler, a business owner of Cluster and Vine, and works a nine-to-five job. The conversation highlights the challenges and joys of managing multiple responsibilities, especially as a parent.

Daniy'El reflects, "I did not think that it would turn into a business. It started off as something I wanted to do for myself and my children... it just snowballed from there." Her journey began when she sought natural products for her hair, leading her to create her own line of hair care.

Inspiring Young Entrepreneurs

What stands out is the entrepreneurial spirit of Daniy'El's daughters, who are not only teenagers but also budding business owners. Her daughter Miykayah speaks of her love for jewelry - making as a young child. "I use to make rubberband bracelets", she said. Daniy'El's , thirteen - year - old younger daughter, discovered her passion for art through a school project, leading her to take orders and turn her hobby into a small business. "Sometimes we don't know what gifts or talents we have... until faced with the opportunity to do something," Yiskah notes.

The discussion also touches on the importance of nurturing creativity in young artists. Daniy'El emphasizes the balance between guiding her daughters while allowing them to explore their artistic expression.

The Art of Family Collaboration

As they navigate their business ventures, the family collaborates closely. Daniy'El mentions, "My daughters help me when it's time to help me. We're all going to each other for advice sometimes," illustrating the strength of their family bond and teamwork.

In a world where many businesses start with personal needs, Daniy'El's experience resonates: "I’m only gonna sell it if I know it works for me." This approach highlights the authenticity behind small businesses and the personal connection they foster with their customers.

As they share their experiences, it's clear that this family embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship, creativity, and collaboration. Their story is a reminder of the potential that lies within when we pursue our passions and support each other.
